Impulse
by Alice Eckerström
Premiere: 2026
The physical law of the conservation of energy—the principle of energy—states that energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed from one form to another. Impulse translates that energy into human emotions—boredom becomes frustration, frustration becomes anger, anger becomes sorrow. On an impulse, Arvid breaks up with his girlfriend Hedda. She is left with that impulse which, according to the laws of physics, must be passed on. The stifling small town she’s stuck in, combined with Hedda’s search for truth and her grieving process, results in a story about heartbreak and the flow of energy.
